Saucy Crock Pot Ribs

Yield: 2-4 servings

Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs
18 oz of your favorite BBQ sauce (I like Bull's Eye hickory smoke BC it doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup)
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon liquid smoke

Place rinsed ribs on large baking sheet. Mix the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Using a 1 cup plastic measuring cup, fill cup half way with honey. I like to microwave the honey to make it easier to work with while it's still in the measuring cup. Cut ribs into four sections. Smother both sides of ribs with loads of sauce and place on a foiled lined cookie sheet. Brown ribs under broiler for about 10 minutes (keep and eye on them as they can easily burn!). When ribs have browned, place in a crock pot. Smother with BBQ sauce mixture and cook on high for about an hour and then on low for about 3 hours. Serve with corn on the cob and either mashed potatoes or a veggie pasta salad.

TIP: I always use crock pot liners to make cleaning a breeze! You can find them by the tin foil and plastic wrap at the grocery store. Just throw out the liner/bag and you have saved your hands from having to scrub that blasted thing!

  1. Those sound really good! I'll have to try this recipe next time we do ribs. Oh, and if you don't have any liners, just spray the pot with some cooking spray. It helps a TON. Washing it while it's still warm helps as well.
